This month, recruitment gets more organized, performance tracking gets clearer, and payroll gains some flexibility. Here’s everything new at Folks.
New in Folks ATS
Application archiving with custom reasons
No more cleaning up without a trace. Recruiters can now remove a candidate from a process directly from a job’s candidate list or the mini candidate card, while documenting why. Twelve reasons are provided by default — renameable, reorderable, and disableable, or you can add your own. The result: a cleaner recruitment history, a real win for recruiting teams who want data that actually tells the story.
Process stages that match your reality
The system’s seven default process stages can now be renamed to fit how your organization actually works, without breaking anything on the stats, exports, or integrations side. You can always switch back to the default name. Customization is available from settings and the Kanban view; contact our team to activate it.
New in Folks HRIS: tracking reviews without the guesswork
Managers now have a dedicated page to track where their team’s performance reviews stand: who’s completed theirs, who’s behind, who’s waiting on a signature. No more digging around to find out where things are stuck.
Improvements
Folks ATS
- Modernized navigation menu: same style as the HRIS, same sections and access rights. Its open or collapsed state is now remembered from one session to the next.
- Resume reading in the mini candidate card: the resume opens on the left side of the panel and stays displayed as you move to the next or previous candidate, updating automatically without reopening the view.
Folks HRIS
- Direct navigation to profiles: an employee’s name is now clickable in every side panel and takes you straight to their profile.
- Targeted seat deletion: in org structures, you can now delete the specific seat you choose, not just the most recently created one.
- Corporate email validation at self-onboarding: when the corporate and personal addresses are the same, both are now validated at once during the form.
Folks Payroll
- New payroll permission: the View employee pay stubs and tax slips permission is now available under Information Visibility. It grants access to pay stubs and tax slips in the Documents tab of profiles, without opening the door to everything else.
That kind of detail is exactly what makes the difference when your payroll is run natively inside Folks instead of stitched together across three different tools — one more reason to keep HR and payroll under one roof!
⚠️ Reminder: Legacy ATS retires December 31, 2026
For two years now, all of our recruitment development has gone into the new Folks ATS — Legacy ATS no longer receives new features. We’re entering the final phase of voluntary transition before the automatic redirect kicks in on December 31. You don’t need to do any migration yourself: contact our team to schedule a meeting, and we’ll import your candidates into Folks ATS for you. Full details on the transition here.
