As 2024 comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible milestones and innovations that have defined our year at Folks – both within our company and across our human resources management solutions. Let’s celebrate this memorable year together and highlight the successes we have achieved by your side!

Growth and Achievements at Folks

At the start of 2024, we secured $4.5 million in funding, enabling us to accelerate our growth and enhance our HR management features. Here are some of the standout highlights from the year:

  • Acquisition of Glow Talents in September: Folks expanded its range of HR solutions with the acquisition of Glow Talents, a powerful and flexible Applicant Tracking System (ATS). This AI-driven, multi-sourcing ATS is now part of our platform lineup, offering seamless integration and advanced functionalities.
  • 23 new team members: No less than 23 talented individuals joined our team in 2024! Most of them are developers who bolstered our R&D department, accelerating innovation and continuous improvement across all our HR platforms.
  • SOC 2 Type 2 Certification: We are proud to have achieved SOC 2 Type 2 certification, underscoring our commitment to information security and the integrity of all our processes.
  • Moving to new offices: With a growing team comes the need for a new workspace! Our warm, modern, and comfortable offices now provide an environment that fosters focus and collaboration. At Folks, we value a flexible work model that enhances motivation and productivity, while maintaining team cohesion through strategic meetings, team activities, or simply offering a welcoming space to work.
  • 330+ new clients joined the Folks journey: Their trust fuels our daily work and proves the relevance of our tech solutions for Canadian businesses striving to streamline recruitment and HR processes.

Platform Innovations and Improvements

Naturally, we worked tirelessly in 2024 to refine our platform’s features – and to develop new, even more powerful tools! Here are a few highlights:

  • Redesign of our homepage and login page: We launched a revamped login and homepage for our HR software to enhance the user experience and improve visibility of key features.
  • Major update to our performance management software: In 2024, our performance management software underwent significant updates and continuous improvements, with many new features and optimizations to better support our clients’ performance management needs.
  • 3 new integrations (and more coming soon!): This year, we added integrations with Agendrix, Payworks, and Emprez. But we’re not stopping there… Stay tuned for announcements about more integrations coming in early 2025!
  • Expanded support documentation: We now publish regular release notes to detail new features across our platforms, along with documentation and resources our users need to get the most out of their HR solutions.

Our Teams Shine Bright

If we could celebrate just one achievement in 2024, it would undoubtedly be the accomplishments of our departments. Here are some standout successes from the year:

  • Setting up our first Hackathon:  During this event, our developers spent 48 hours brainstorming and building innovative features for our software. The result: inspiring innovations, new avenues for solution development, strengthened team cohesion, and unforgettable moments spent together!
  • Resolving over 7,000 Tickets with 93% client satisfaction: Our support team works tirelessly to address client requests and ensure optimal use of our HR solutions. These impressive numbers reflect their dedication, and we couldn’t be prouder!
  • 9 free webinars organized: Staying true to our mission of delivering valuable HR content, we organized nine webinars covering a variety of HR management topics. Interested? Subscribe to our newsletter to get invited to the next event!
